A Peruvian citizen was detained at Ezeiza Airport accused of attempting to traffic drugs to Europe. The Airport Security Police (PSA) found more than nine kilograms of cocaine on her.
The operation, called 'Operativo Súper Granola,' was carried out at Ministro Pistarini International Airport during the inspections that the force conducts at control and registration points. In this context, officers detected a passenger who was about to board Air France flight AF 411 to Paris.
The police report highlights that suspicions about the woman began when she started giving inconsistent answers during the routine interview, so it was decided to conduct a more exhaustive search. Upon inspecting her checked baggage, officers found 20 packages of granola, 18 of which contained a whitish substance.
Field tests for cocaine hydrochloride were then performed, which yielded a positive result, with a total weight of 9,224 grams.
The woman was detained, isolated, and made available to the National Court in Economic Criminal Matters No. 12 of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, under the charge of Dr. Marcelo Aguinsky.
